Being a pipe organ builder, I have been exposed to interior architecture
and pipe organ design. And, towards the end of last year, out of considering
the extremely beautiful description of the Heavenly Jerusalem in Revelation
21, the new Stained Glass Pipes are now ready for introduction.
Until now, the pipe organs were designed to fit in the interior of a
sanctuary or concert hall by complementing color tones or the organ
casework with those found within the building. Clients had the option
to have silvery-gray front pipes of varying brightness, and other solid
colors that could be applied to the pipes (gold, red, yellow, as well
as stenciled designsfashionable during the 1860s to about 1910).
Due to our thorough education in the field and accumulated experience
in pipe-making and voicing, we have been able to design and manufacture
the first Stained Glass Pipes that open up a whole new world of design
possibilities for Church and Concert Hall pipe organs.
We can manufacture these pipes from a minimum height of 2 feet to a
current maximum of 20 feet. They can be designed to feature hexagonal
or octagonal cross sections, and even tapered (consistently becoming
narrower towards the top).
Their tone quality is strong and firm, while their tone character is
determined by the actual scale (a result of the relationship between
diameter, length, mouth dimensions, etc.)
This new Pipe Manufacturing Technique allows the introduction of color
into the organ front; colors, that are found in the stained glass windows
of a sanctuary or the interior architecture of the music hall.
Upon request, complete motives can become part of the organ front layout,
either on the front of the glass pipes, or even crafted into the backs
of the pipes, in which case the motif may have a mysterious indirect
affect, for it becomes visible through the actual pipe bodies, that
can be clear or lightly tinted.
Additionally, we can offer to fit halogen lamps into the individual
pipes, so that multicoloured light proceeds from the pipes, producing
most beautiful effects in a dark room. Since these pipes have a glass
languid, the light travels right through, from top to bottom!
There are more than 500 different colors, color-variations and glass
textures available, which allows virtual freedom in designing an organ
front for a new environment as well as complementing existing stained
glass art found within the sanctuary or hall.
